Friday Night - arrive at UMIST halls of residence, pubs and Chinese in chinatown.

Saturday -  Start to go to the Royal exchange to book some theatre tickets when BOOOM the IRA bomb goes off ! Decide to head out of the centre and go to the pictures at Withington (to see Toy Story). Go back to halls but the city centre is still cordoned off so head back to Rusholme for beers and curry

The IRA decide to hold a reunion weekend on the same weekend - we are around 300 yards away when the bomb goes off !
