Highlights
Looking for Eric" - the best film we have seen in ages
We spend seemingly most of Saturday in the Eagle shopping centre
looking for a theatre which doesn't open until September 2009 !
As he is too old to chat up the birds, Steve decides to chat up the
bird-watchers (Peregrine Falcons are resident in the tower of Derby
Cathedral)
Pete does an excellent job of guiding us around the Derby hostelries
Instead of the usual debate about politics, we have a debate about
politicians
Quotes
Pete - "Where have you come from today Steve ?"
Steve - "Israel"
Pete - "Isn't the sea really polluted in Israel?"
Steve - "I dont think so, there is a wind that swirls it around.. and I noticed
it was salty.."
Steve - "The trouble with Israel is that they have all these women
lined up to wreck your laptop before you leave.."
David (giving Pete two pints) - "One is for Steve and one is for
Pete"
Pete - "..so one will be mine then.."
Strange chap in the Silk mill museum - "You can buy a DVD of this
train journey - that's good isn't it ?"
Pete (in the cafe) - "Just think - in a few year's time, we will be
able to get the OAP special"
Eric - "I was hoping it would be a bald b*stard from Bolton"
Steve - "It costs £70 to see Arsenal now"
Pete - "£70 ??!!"
Pete (3 mins later) - "£70 ???!!!!"
