Saturday Afternoon – A walk around Cardiff Bay followed by some swift food and the cinema (Iron Man 2)

Highlights

  • Our 25th year of lad's weekends !
  • Having realised that he needs food more frequently than the others, Pete arrives armed with 37 bananas and 10kg of nuts
  • Despite living closer to Cardiff than anyone, Nigel arrives 2 hours after everyone else
  • Steve looks worried when he goes to his room he will be sharing with Nigel and finds..a double bed..
  • One of the best museums we have been to (Museum of Wales) has only about 8 visitors !
  • The hottest weekend of the year so far
  • Having found the cheapest curry we have had (outside Bradford) on Friday night, we find an even cheaper on on Saturday night
  • We pick the one day to spend in Cardiff Bay when Cardiff city are playing a crucial football match..and lose !
  • Despite taking Pete up on his offer to drop David part way home, all the trains turn out to be cancelled and it takes him 9 hours to get to Bradford !

    Hotel owner - "No you REALLY don't want to park it there !"

    Steve (on his GPS looking for Pubs) - "Do you think that Wow and Cabaret Casablanca are traditional real ale pubs.. ?"
